Hey pals, it’s me, your old friend, Ian. I just wanted everyone to know that Fat Cat Funnies will never knowingly publish any images made with prompt-based image generators that use unethically-sourced data sets. This generation of image generators, which output what people refer to as, “AI Art,” and all subsequent generations built on top of the same stolen images and data, are exempt from consideration for publication at Fat Cat Funnies.
In the event that someone submits something for publication that gets past me to publication or printing, there are provisions in our contracts that address the matter.
Fat Cat Funnies is my celebration of comics and artists, as much as it is a publisher. I am strongly against the use of stolen images and art, and I will do what is within my power to protect my fellow artists.
